If you are using a single grip lock, replacing it would be quite tricky.
Because the grip handle have various length, and you need to find the exact length or size in order to replace otherwise the mark left from the previous lock will be seen
On top of that, all the mechanical lock is not as durable compared to the past.
Now, most of the mechanical locks were from CHINA and the material used is hollow and fragile, as the factory have to reduce cost to meet the market requirement

Method 1 - Install Above the existing lock
As these installation is the best solution throughout all the methods
Least damage and avoid ugly looking scars left behind the door, unless you are prepared to vanish the door or use metal cap to cover it
Method 2 - Remove the deadbolt and fill in with wood
(NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Therefore, you will have face difficulties to plug in the 9v battery to charge during emergency
This is one of the special case installation, we will not do it unless customer request before hand
Method 3 - Cover up with Stainless Steel Capping ($15) or wood putty
We can cover up the above 2 holes - one from the deadbolt and another from the grip handle
However there will be a fifty cent holes left uncovered.
We can either use
1. wood putty to fill up (Free_
2.Use stainless steel capping to cover the mark left behind from the previous lock ( Additional $15)
3. Aluminum sticker (Additional $15)
1. Their existing handle is tarnish or spoiled
2. Digital lock with handle comes with *Double Lock Mortise*
3. It comes with mechanical to overwrite the system, therefore in the worst scenario you can
still unlock it
4. Mortise digital lock have more attractive security features
